Rifca Stanescu - Youngest grandmother in the world!

She is only 27 but already a grandmother to a four year old boy! Though it is quite surprising, it is true. The tradition of 'marrying young' in the Romanian gypsy communities has made this possible. And, Rifca Stanescu is that young lady, from the village of Investi in Romania, to become the youngest grandmother in the world at the age of just 23!

Rifca Stanescu, born in 1985, ran away and married with Ionel Stanescu, a jewellery seller, when she was just 11. An year later she gave birth to Maria. Maria continued the tradition; married at the age of 11 and gave birth to Ion at 12. It is also a good thing to know that Rifca, Maria and Ion are all perfectly healthy. And for much of the surprise, Ion is already engaged to a ten year old girl. So it is not a fantasy if Maria becomes a grandmother at much younger age than her mother Rifca!

Rifca is a happy grandmother but she says she had other plans for Maria. Rifca insisted Maria to stay in school and complete her education. But when Maria was ready for the marriage, Rifca didn't stop her, as such is their tradition. It is also their tradition that bridegroom has to pay dowry to bride's parents!

Chandra Bahadur Dangi - The Shortest Man in the World!

The country with world's tallest mountain is now also the home for world's shortest man! Chandra Bahadur Dangi, a 72 year old man from Nepal is now the shortest person in the world. Measured 21.5 inches or 54.6 centimeters, Chandra Bahadur Dangi was the world's shortest person living and shortest person ever measured by Guinness World Records as well!

Dangi has lived all his life in a remote village in Nepal and is now dreaming of travelling across the world. He broke the previous record of Junrey Balawing of the Philippines, who is 23.5 inches or 60 centimeters tall. Though he is short, small and aged, Dangi says that he has never undergone any treatment or medication by doctors! When he suffers cold or fever, he has his own way to cure them; drinking hot water with turmeric powder dissolved in it, which according to him, makes fever stay no longer than three days.



Dangi has six brothers, two sisters and his parents were died when he was just 16. The illiteracy caused him to wait so long to claim the award as he was unaware of any such record before! He wants to visit foreign countries and meet people around the world. He is happy that he is now popular all over the world as shortest person ever lived. And he is also the oldest person to be awarded as shortest person in the world.



Despite of being the smallest person in the world, Chandra Bahadur Dangi is a hard worker. He work all day making placemats and head straps for village people to carry load on their backs. He even look after buffalos and cows.



We people make fun of him but only Dangi could know the feeling of being short. Life is much harder for him than we imagine. Most of his time he spend at home and he needs assistance to move around.  But he has lived through 72 years and still works to support his family.

Nicki Minaj has been named as the Billboard's Rising Star for the year 2011. Nicki Minaj is the fourth singer to be awarded as Billboard's Rising Star, following Jazmine Sullivan (2010), Lady Gaga (2009), and Colbie Caillat (2008). And  she is also the first female rapper to top the Billboard 200 in a decade !

Massive success of her debut album, 'Pink Friday' has earned her this title. According to Nielsen SoundScan, 1.6 million copies of her album have been sold ! Her mega single, 'Super Bass' has reached No. 3 in Hot 100, which is actually a bonus track in deluxe edition of the album.

The 28 year old singer, born Onika Tanya Maraj, started her career in music industry in 2007, releasing mixed tapes. Later she signed with Young Money Entertainment, a label founded by Lil Wayne. Recently she also bagged a pair of awards at American Music Awards as Favorite rap/hip-hop Artist and Favorite Soul/R&B Artist.

She will be honoured with the award on December 2, 2011 at Billboard's Women in Music 2011 Event in New York City. She will be accompanied by Taylor Swift, who has been named as Billboard Woman of the Year.

Chris Walton - Woman with Longest Finger Nails in the World !

Could you let your finger nails grow longer than you ? like, almost double than your height ? If you say it is impossible, you are absolutely wrong ! A woman from Las Vegas has made this possible !


Chris Walton, a 45 year old woman from Las Vegas hasn't clipped her nails for last 18 years ! And now these finger nails measure 10ft 2in on her left hand and 9ft 7in on her right hand, winning her the title 'Woman with Longest nails in the World' !


 After 18 years, finally her care for nails has paid off. She was officially announced as record holder for longest nails by the Guinness spokesperson, Stuart Claxton, at a New York city event, where her spectacular finger nails, polished with shiny golden yellow were displayed to public.

Claxton called Ms Walton a 'Unique Beauty' while presenting her with the Guinness World Record Certificate.

The previous record holder was from Salt Lake city named Ms. Lee Redmond, whose nails measured 28 feet in total ! But unfortunately, she lost her nails in a car accident in 2009, which proved fortunate for Chris Walton.

Chris Walton is a professional singer. It is not so easy to take care of these long nails, a little recklessness could cause breakage of these nails. Work becomes lot more difficult to do, from opening door to texting on a mobile phone. Yet, she does make up on her own and text on mobile phone using her knuckles.



As she mentioned, getting change out of her pocket is one of the most difficult task she had to face. But she has managed it well for last 18 years and now, after winning the Guinness world record title, she is planning to get rid of these nails but want to do it slowly as she is used to 'naily life' !

Life with full of happiness is everyone's dream. But we tend to forget that happiness is something which is not available in market. We try to find happiness in money, relationships take second place or almost neglected. Why do we need money ? To fulfill our necessities and then desires. But our desires keep on growing and finally we end up without actually living life !

A mother is happy looking at her baby, an Adventurer is happy taking risks, a Photographer is happy with beauty. But what you know ? A mother is not happy with taking risks, an Adventurer is not happy with beauty, he seeks adventure ! A Photographer is not intended to take risks ! Your happiness depends on how you feel and look at things.




Happiness is an eternal feeling which is inside us. One great man has said, "To be happy, just be", which is a universal truth. But we need a reason to be happy. After all, we are social animals, we can't laugh without a reason [Unless we are ready to accept the title "mad" !]. So here is a joke, to make you laugh and give some exercise to your facial muscles ;)

One morning at a hospital, a patient arrived to the doctor with serious back-pain. The doctor examined him and asked, "Well, what happened to your back?".

The patient replied, "I work for a local night club. This morning, I was back home early, on the 3rd floor of the apartment, and heard a noise from my bedroom. On entering, I heard like someone had been with my wife and the balcony door was open. I rushed out to the balcony door and found no one there. As I looked down from the balcony, I saw a man running out and he was dressing himself. I grabbed the fridge and threw it at him, That's how I strained my back".

After the first patient's departure, 2nd patient arrived to doctor, looking as if he has been in a car wreck. The doctor said, "My previous patient was looking bad, but you look terrible.What the hell happened to you?"

He replied, "You know, I have been unemployed for a while now .Today was the first day at my new job. I forgot to set my alarm and was running late. I was running out of the building, getting dressed at the same time, and you won't believe it but I was hit by a fridge !!"

The 3rd patient arrived; he looked even worse than the other two patients did. The doctor felt so sad of his condition. Again asked, "What the hell happened to you.... .?!!"

Third patient opened his mouth, "Well I was sitting in a fridge & someone threw it from the 3rd floor" !!

World Population day 2011, 7 billion actions campaign to kick off !

So, 11th of July is here ! If you are still wondering what is so special about July 11, on July 11, 1987, world population reached 5 billion. In the memory of this event, July 11 of every year is celebrated as world population day.

Now we have came through 24 years after reaching that mark of 5 billion and are near to 7 billion ! Which means that the world population is doubling every 50 years ! As every year, UNFPA has launched a new campaign called "7 billion actions". This campaign is aiming at engaging people, spur commitment, and spark actions about new opportunities and challanges we have to face in this world of 7 billion people.

As we are near to that day, let us take a look at some interesting facts about World Population.

> The Present world population is 6.976 billion [as of July 8,2011].


> 60% of the world population is contributed by Asia alone.


> Nearly 40% of the world population is from India and China !


> Every day, 360,000 new babies are added to world population.

At the current growth rate, it is expected that world population would reach 7 billion by October 31st of 2011. With ever growing demand for food and energy supply, population explosion has put forth numerous challenges in front of us. There are over 1 billion adult illiterate people in the world. Nearly 1 billion people are undernourished, and another 1 billion have no access to safe drinking water. Every day, 30,000 people die of hunger while we, so called civilized people, waste tons of food and water everyday. 5 million hectares of forest loss has led to the extinction of 150,000 species every year.

Heaven and hell are nowhere but on earth. Now we have to take a decision, which could make this world either heaven or hell. Each and everyone of us are the equal part of this 7 billion milestone. We have to understand our responsibilities and support this campaign by UNFPA to create awareness, especially young generation have to take the leadership of this movement and make it successful.

Jailed for leaving mother's corpse unburied for six months !

Is money really so important that, one leave her mother's dead body unburied for six months ? This is really a disgusting story of an Actress who left her mother's corpse unburied to claim pension benifits ! It was Olive Maddock, a 95 year old lady, who had to wait for 6 months to get her corpse buried.

A 61 year old actress, Hazel Maddock has been jailed for locking her 95 year old mother's dead body in bedroom for 6 months and claiming her mother's pension benifit of £200. Hazel's daughter, 35 years old, Jasmine Maddock was also given a suspended sentence for supporting her mother, and ordered to carry out 250 hours of unpaid community service, after suspending her two years of imprisonment.

Hazel, a widow of a professor of Naval Engineering was a keen ballroom dancer. But lately she was found eccentric and had started to live in a dirty, mice and flies smoked house on saltburn road in Wallasey. After finding a disgusting smell from Hazel's house, an officer entered to see what is behind the doors and found a dead body in bedroom.

Hazel who has appeared in many TV shows and had appeared in Harman starrer, The Outsiders, was pleaded guilty at Liverpool crown court for unlawful prevention of burial and benifit fraud. And her daughter was also found guilty for her supportive role in this fraud.

This is really a shameful thing for human beings, but once again it is proved that, in this world, relationships are no more important than money..

Rich beggar ! old woman with huge money !

Rich Beggar !! It sounds funny, weird and meaningless but it is true ! An old woman named Rambai, living in the streets of khammam, AP, India was found having nearly Rs.80,000 cash in a cloth bag. Interesting thing is, she had nearly 10,000 to 15,000 coins in that bag !!

When she was begging in the streets, a theif snatched her money bag and ran away. She started shouting and police chased the thief. Fed up theif, threw the bag and ran away. After recovering the bag, police counted the money and found Rs.80,000 cash, for their surprise ! Police had a hard time in counting that money with so much of coins. It is said that she has collected this money by begging for years. The language barrier is an obstacle for police men to find her origin now.

Police men have created a Bank Account in her name and have deposited the money.

That old woman look like she would die in few years. But why she is collecting so much of money at this age, I don't know ! More sad thing is, she is still begging despite of owning so much of money. If she continue begging, there is no difference in she having money or the theif taking it away !

World's most Pierced Woman !

It is all for Record and Fame sake. She don't like tattoos or piercings, but Elaine Davidson, the Guinness world record holder as most pierced woman on earth, do it all for Record !
In 2000, when she was first accredited by the Guiness world record officials, she had 462 piercings on her body, with her face alone bearing 192 !

As of now, she has almost 7000 piercings on her body. "I don't enjoy getting pierced, but to break the record, you have to get to high level", she says. Even though no one in her family likes tattoos or piercings, she is happy that she decided to change and be herself, she explains proudly.


Few days back, that is last wednesday, she was married to Douglas Watson, a balding old man ! She lives in Edinburgh, UK with her 60 year old husband who has no space on his body for piercings. She is running a aromatherapy shop called "Tropical Rainbow" in the city. Her husband, Watson said that they met 15 years back in a coffee shop in Glasgow which has ended in thier marriage.

This former nurse from Brazil, is a multi talented lady who holds a black belt in Judo and enjoy Sky Diving, Horse Riding and other such extreme sports. She doesn't drink or smoke and she wants the world to know this.

She says, "I never removes rings and studs", which are said to weigh seven pounds !

An Extra ordinary story of Survival !

To become a mother is every married female's desire. But it takes her through a tough course of 9 months before she could become mother. These 9 months are filled with lot of happiness, anxiety and fear. But how scary it would be, if someone has to be pregnant for 46 years ?!! Unbelievable but it is true in case of Zahra !

Zahra Aboutalib is a 75 year old woman from Morocco who finally gave birth to a dead baby, after 46 years ! It all started in 1955, in a village of Casablanca, when Zahra was a 25 year old lady who was pregnant for her first child. As she reached 9th month of pregnancy, it normally started to pain in her stomach. For her bad luck, the baby didn't shift even after 48 hours and doctors said that caesarian is the only way for her to take out the baby. But when Zahra saw another pregnant woman next to her table dying with the pain of caesarian, She went on panic. So she decided not to go for caesarian, but to die with her child in womb.

As a local myth said, because of curse, babies tend to sleep inside womb which would come out later in time. She believed in this myth called "Sleeping baby", and let her fate to decide this.

Day by day the pain started to increase but she didn't bother. As days passed, baby stopped moving inside and the pain went away. She adopted three children to forget the sad feeling and became a grand mother. Everything was going fine for five decades untill that day come.

In 2001, her stomach was swollen again and it started paining. As the pain grew unbearable, her son took her to a hospital in town. Primary check up didn't help doctors to understand anything. After a detailed MRI, doctors weren't able to believe what they saw, there was a stone baby which was 46 years old !! During early days, the baby had developed outside the womb and fused with Zahra's internal organs. This made the baby unable to be born, and finally it died. This dead body developed a layer of hard calcified material around the baby, to protect itself from infection which the doctors called as stone baby.

But it is impossible to carry a dead baby inside. Then what made it possible ? Answer is, Zahra's body had accepted the stone baby as any other normal organ !! This time she had to under go surgery, but with better infrastructure & technology, it made possible to save her. And thus making it an extra ordinary story of Survival !

Oldest Father on Earth at the age of 94 !

Can you believe that a 94 year old man could become father ? A 94 year old man from a small town in Haryana, India is claimed to be the oldest father in the world. The earlier record was in the name of Nanu Ram Jogi from Rajasthan, India who was claimed to become father at the age of 90 !

Ramajit Raghav is the new oldest father, living in a small town, Kharkhoda in Sonipat district of Haryana state. His old-age pension records reveal that his age is 94. His wife Shakuntala, who gave birth to the child is said to be in her fifties. He is originally from a village called Begpur in Uttar Pradesh who had left home about 40 years ago after a violent dispute in his family and was living at the current town from last 22 years.

He proudly says that he had been a wrestler in his youth and his daily diet which was comprised of 3 litres milk, half kg ghee & half kg almonds has helped him to survive at this age. He says that it is a 'God's Gift' to become father at this age and has named his child as Karamjit. Doctors have confirmed that his wife gave birth to a healthy male child and it belongs to him. They also said that it is a rare case but possibilities can't be denied.

Most of we people have never lived a single day blaming life for the circumstances we live in. Everyone thinks that their problems are bigger than the others'. In the excitement of cursing life, we have forgotten to live the Life. But there are few people who stand apart, and one among such people is Jessica Cox.

We have two eyes, arms, legs and everything working right. But still we feel it is not enough to achieve something in life. But unlike most of us, Jessica Cox, a girl from Tucson, Arizona was born without arms. But this defect never deterred her from being normal and flying over the world with her feet. She is able to put her contact lenses, apply makeup & brush hair using her feet ! Doing every everyday activities and even driving a car is not at all a challenge to her. She was the first person to get black belt in the American Tae Kwon-Do Association and the first pilot in aviation history to fly with her feet !!

This doesn't mean that she hasn't struggled through the life ! But It shows that how one can surpass the one's disability. It is an everyone's dream to own a pretty cool gadget like iPad. People are so crazy about this device that they are ready to wait in queue from midnight itself to buy this. But can you believe if someone has sold his kidney to buy an iPad ?!! If you don't, you have to !!

One 17 year old chinese teen surnamed Zheng from Anhui province has sold his kidney to buy iPad, reported on Shanghai Daily. According to the report, this boy was so restless to buy an iPad but couldn't affort it. But when a black market human organs dealer contacted him online and offered $3100 for selling his kidney, the boy found it as a last chance to own iPad.

The boy then travelled to the place fixed by the dealer and got his kidney removed in a local hospital. As promised, the boy was paid the money and he was able to buy a brand new iPad. His mother came to know this and filed a complaint against the delears. Investigation is going on now but dealers are not found yet.

Zheng is now suffering from post-surgical issues, and even the hospital where his kidney removed is not qualified for organ transplantation ! He is regretting now for his mistake and his health is getting worse day by day but there is nothing they can do now.
A mistimed decision lead him to this kind of problems. Now bringing the boy to normal life is much important than finding the culprits.
